Dr. Lukacher is a Professor of Microbiology, Immunology, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the PennState Cancer Institute.  Dr. Lukacher’s renowned research group has developed a unique mouse model of polyomavirus CNS infection to better understand the immunologic and virologic factors contributing to PML pathogenesis.
